I'm All In [edit]
by Robert Pierre | Genre: Pop/Rock | Release Date: July 26, 2011

After several years of relentless touring behind his last critically acclaimed album, Robert returned to the studio last year - this time with songs of his own. In fact, Robert co-wrote nearly every song on IʼM ALL IN - a first for the 18-year old who is just now finishing high school. With executive-producer Jason Ingram (Tenth Avenue North, Sanctus Real, Bebo Norman) and producer Matt Bronleewe (Jars of Clay, Plumb, Chris Tomlin) both contributing to the songwriting, the trio has created the most personal Robert Pierre album yet.

Robert Pierre: I'm All In Review | Posted July 18, 2011
I remember the first time I heard Robert Pierre’s music I was amazed. That was his first music video “On Faith Alone.” Three years later (2009), the re-release of Identity brought a more mature sound to Robert’s vocals, bringing us the hits “Jesus,” “Breaking My Heart,” and the title track. This year, Robert brings us an eleven-track all-new record titled I’m All In. Shaped by his graduation from high school and move on to college later this year, I’m All In is all about being completely sold out to God and trusting Him for guidance at every step.

The upbeat title track opens up Robert’s third full-length project with a touch of a disco sound, as the excellent deep vocals set in. Speaking of being “all in” and sold out to God, the full chorus was very inspiring: “I’m all in/ Your love is overwhelming/ I’m all in/ You are all consuming/ I’m all in.” The guitar pop track “Who R U?” asks the listener, “Which side of the fence are you on?” With very catchy music and rhyming lyrics, the message of the track sticks out emphatically, that we need to be sold out to Jesus: “You’re either hot or you’re cold/ either yes or you’re no/ will you stay, or will you run/ who will you become? You’re either in or you’re out/ either soft of you’re loud/ When He calls for His own/ I wanna be known.”

The slower single “Light the Way,” which reminded me first of the worship anthem “Mighty to Save,” speaks of how God will light the way when we can’t find our way on the path of life: “When I can’t see my next step, Your love will light the way/ when the path I’m on is all but gone/ Your love will light the way.” “Maker of the Stars,” beginning with a bit of a futuristic techno sound, blends into a nice contemporary track with beautiful music. Through this track, we are reminded of the goodness of God and how He loves us anyway.

“Be Lifted Up” is a timeless prayer for Jesus to be glorified in our lives, sounding much like a classic Hillsong worship anthem, while the upbeat pop track “Stranger In This Land” encourages the listener to find their identity in Jesus, because though we are in this world, we are not of it. Neither track is a disappointment, as the vocal effects and fill-ins make each track get better with every listen.

With “Silent Cry,” Robert calls for Christians to united against the injustices of abortion. Kudos to Robert for taking such a stand through his music! I was very blessed to hear an artist such as Robert share such a song. “Sing For Joy,” still on the slower side of things speaks of singing a song of joy even when things aren’t going right for us.

“Greater Is He,” a little more upbeat also has some techno effects here and there, as Robert sings of how through Jesus, who is greater than he that is in the world, we will not fear. Following, “Dead to Sin” picks up the pace again, speaking of people who get caught up in the things of the world, but how through Christ, we have been set free. Finally, “Trust In You” closes the album absolutely perfectly, acting autobiographical, summarizing the whole message of I’m All In, that we can trust in Jesus through every step in life and He will lead us through.

I’ve been a fan of Robert Pierre’s for quite some time now, but I’m All In matures his musical talent even further, as Robert prepares to move on in life. The amazing record full of an encouragement to lean on God and let Him lead us, is an awesome project!

Great! For the Young People! | Posted July 18, 2011
Loved this song! Im sure the younger crowd would love it even more than me:) Robert's looks remind me of a current Elvis Presley.   His style is exactly what you would hear on secular radio but Robert has God's message and focus at heart so it makes him awesome! This is a fabulous albulm!

1 Timothy 4:12 | Posted July 21, 2011
The first time I ever listened to Robert Pierre was when we purchased his first CD (from when he was little).  At the time (you know, when he sounded like a girl) I wasn't a huge fan of his music, but now that his voice has matured, his music has as well.

He is a great example to all about standing out in your faith, no matter what your age is.

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity."  -1 Timothy 4:12

While searching YouTube, I had a hard time actually finding the songs from this album.  But the two songs I did find, were good.  Even though I only heard two, I would still recommend this CD.  It's like reading the first chapter of a book... if you like it and recommend it to someone, then that is a good preview to the book.  In this case, it is a good preview to the album.  If I have only listened to two songs, yet I feel that it is good enough to recommend based on those two songs, then wait until you hear the rest of the CD (I know I can't!)

----------

No matter what though, my favorite song so far by Robert Pierre is "Jesus" (not on this album)

Robert Pierre's Best Yet! | Posted July 17, 2011

I highly recommend Robert's new album! I saw him in concert at Creation Fest 2011 NE and he rocked! He sang a handfull of his new songs from this new album and I am emjoying listening to them on my laptop, a few weeks later! From his original songs from when he was young, to his music now, his maturity and heart fot the Lord has continued to shine throug his songs. As for his new music, it is very relevant to our generation and to the time and season in which God has his Church. "I'm All In" and "Who R U" is a call to be hot and not lukewarm, all in and not only half way. Again, Rober Pierre has out done himself yet again! God bless!
