Born, raised & highly symbolic of the Chicago music scene, Gospel singer Ricky Dillard has made a name for himself as musical force to be reckoned with. Considered the ultimate showman, Dillard brings a uniquely theatrical artistry that captures the energy, flare and spirit of Chicago worship and praise. Dillard began at an early age directing the youth choir in his church (at the age of five), and later the young adult choirs. Dillard drew inspiration from other gospel performers including Rev. Milton Brunson and the Thompson Community Singers; Dr. Mattie Moss Clark; Dr. Charles G. Hayes, and Thomas Whitfield. Dillard continued to direct choirs locally and was a member of the Thompson Community Singers. Dillard's soulful and powerful sound has been instantly recognizable since his debut in the early 90s.
