Skillet's sophomore album is a complete reversal from the debut.  The grunge sound is still present but now the band experiments with industrial Nine Inch Nails inspired sounds.  That's what this album is, an experiment.  While this experiment didn't resonate with me that much, there are still some songs that are catchy.  But unfortunately, this album doesn't hit the same mark as the debut.

This is only skillet's second release, but im still not a big fan of this one. My favorite song is more faithful. I also like hey you, i love your soul, locked in a cage, and suspended in you. Other than those songs, i don't really like the style of this one.

Not their best, but one of their firsts | Posted September 26, 2007
I thought it was very cool. I like the song Scarecrow and Hey you, I love your soul. Its a good CD all around and they're very versatile on this cd...moving from softer rock to harder rock to techno to praise music. I own almost every Skillet CD and this is one of my favorites.

I like this album. I think they have matured a bit since this album, but I would still get it! It's a great record!
