RELEASING NOW AND LATER

@anthemlights: For all you awesome people buying the record on itunes, make sure you rate it and write a review! Ready...go. Alan (May 10)

This week boy band Anthem Lights released their stellar, self-titled debut album. They encouraged fans to spread the word and write reviews.

@theclassiccrime: We have some exciting news developing in the way of a new album. We'll let you know sometime in the next two weeks! Love, Matt MacDonald (May 9)

The Classic Crime is working on the follow-up to their last release, Vagabonds. Keep watching Twitter for upcoming announcements. We enjoy how Matt signed first and last name in his tweet.

@philwickham: Hey Tweeps. New TOTALLY secret download is up today. Scan my image to get it! Anyone tried out these songs yet? (May 10)

Phil Wickham has been promoting his next album through his Twitter profile image. Scanning the image—a QR code—leads to a link where fans can download chord charts for songs from his upcoming album. He has encouraged fans to share recordings of their attempts to play his new songs on YouTube.

@mikedonehey: Have I mentioned my band has a new song available for free download on our website? I haven't? Well, we do. Go get it! Tenthavenuenorth.com (May 10)

Tenth Avenue North has released “You Don't Owe Me,” a B-side previously only heard live. It's a strong track with an indie flair typically uncharacteristic of the band, and it's free. It is definitely worth looking into.

@Eisley: Smarter video is up: cot.ag/lrvpnH (May 11)

Eisley released a music video for their song “Smarter” from recent release The Valley.

@toothandnail: Announcing @OfficialTFK's new CD/DVD #LiveAtTheMasquerade - go hear to get all the juicy details: http://bit.ly/lJBo08 (May 11)

@markhallCC: I just sang my last vocal for the new Casting Crowns! Melodee said "Somebody break out the sparkling apple cider!" (May 13)

Mark Hall celebrated the completion of his vocal parts for the next Casting Crowns record, which probably means that they will be finishing it up soon.

UPDATES FROM THE ROAD

@theletterblack: Just had s'mores with our new drummer, Taylor Carroll!!! Gearing up for our next run! Great day! (May 9)

Rockers The Letter Black announced via twitter that they have brought on a new drummer. If his name looks familiar, it's because he played for Pillar last year.

@iamempire: Dear 1,794 followers. If every 1 of you donated $1 we would be able to pay for a new van in its entirety! tinyurl.com/iamempirekickstarter (May 9)

I Am Empire is in need of transportation as festival season approaches, and they have turned to fans for help through twitter and kickstarter.

@ManicDrive: Just got Manic Drive LED T-Shirts! Oh yes you heard right. (May 9)

Be on the lookout for some unusual Manic Drive t-shirts on the road this summer... these guys are nothing if not creative.

@dustyredmon: WHAT!? TWO OF MY HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPALS ON THE SAME FLIGHT? Unreal. Am I in a dream? Should I be building a go-kart? (May 13)

Dusty Redmon of The Almost had an unusual flying experience this week. Traveling so much can lead to some interesting encounters.

ADVENTURES

@JimmyNeedham: Please pray: My drummer, @chasen0621 just had all his drums & gear stolen from his car. Trusting the Soveriegn God. (May 8)

Jimmy Needham's drummer lost his gear this week. They would appreciate prayers as they attempt to locate the gear or else find a way to replace it.

@PeterFurler_: Caught one!!!! http://t.co/mnihPYB (May 13)

It seems the former Newsboys frontman had a successful fishing trip last week, although it's unclear as to with what, exactly, he's holding his catch of the day. In other news, how is it that Twitter hasn't given him a “verified account”?

@stephenanberlin: my new 'book' is up online for free. it's adaptation of a journal of my grandfathers i found. read 'you are safe here' http://bit.ly/mkiAa8 (May 9)

Stephen Christian of Anberlin is interested in writing more than just songs. His latest writing endeavor is adapted from his Ukranian grandfather's journal, chronicling his experiences in Nazi Germany.

DAILY BUSINESS

@audreyassad: Dangit. The same coat rack just got me again. It just looks like a person. No way around it. (May 9)

Audrey Assad detailed her adventures with a somewhat deceptive coat rack. Our suggestion? Throw it in a closet.

@thebwack: My wife ordered a new rolling pin after I accidentally drilled a hole in the old one.  http://instagr.am/p/EEMGt/
@thebwack: "@sarah_butt how do you accidentally drill a hole into a rolling pin?” well usually you empty a drawer before installing new pulls... (May 9)

Jeremy Bush (of David Crowder*Band) found himself in need of a new rolling pin for unusual reasons... sometimes household chores can prove challenging, even for musicians.

@mikescheuchzer: When will the ban on musician photoshoots on railroad tracks be lifted? I think it's time for a comeback. (May 11)

MercyMe's Mike Scheuchzer offered this somewhat sarcastic statement, hailing back to a tradition that seems to have died out.

@marktheshark: If my programming today ends up sounding like Enya, you can blame the clouds and rain. #sailawaysailawaysailaway (May 12)

Will we be hearing some unusual influences in David Crowder Band's music? Only time will tell...

Mary Burklin is a college student who loves Jesus and seeks to echo His love in everything she does. She loves art in just about all forms, but music is her passion and where she feels most at home.
