Gram and Ben Messer, the heart of the musical group Out of Ruin have been recording and performing together since their early teens, giving these two brothers a special bond and chemistry. Creating their own unique sound fusing elements of alt-rock and progressive music, Out of Ruin's debut album What I Can't See was released on April 29, 2008 through VSR Music Group. Defying trends, Gram states, "We are concered with making music that moves us first, and then hopefully it will touch other people as well. We try very hard to be true musically to ourselves and our fans." With songs from the new album getting over 147,000 plays on Myspace within four months of being posted, and a US tour starting in February of 2008, we expect countless fans to discover the unique band that is Out of Ruin. (Out of Ruin has appeared in concert with acts such as POD and Switchfoot.)
Having recorded three albums in the last four years, their latest album, "What I Can't See, will be released in April 2008. Produced by Ken Mary in Phoenix, AZ, it is a project that searches to take the listener on a musical journey. The diversity displayed on this record goes from driving guitar rock, to piano ballads, and everything in between.
