Raised in a family of musicians, music has always been embedded in Sarah Reeves' genes. But a radical encounter with God at the age of 15 forever changed her focus. "I was attending a youth camp in Alabama when I felt a clear calling on my life to lead people into worship. I had a Moses moment as I felt everything opposite of confident and adequate for the task God laid out before me. As a shy and introverted teenager, I felt overwhelmed by the thought of leading the church. However, an incredible peace came over me along with the assurance of the promise that His power is perfected in my weakness."
Sarah started her journey on Sparrow Records touring with Britt Nicole, Josh Wilson, and Rush of Fools along with several others. She has made her way throughout the country leading worship in a wide variety of places such as Acquire the Fire, Crystal Cathedral, and National Assemblies of God events as well as leading worship for Beth Moore, Kay Arthur and other women's conferences.
After a few years of touring the US and leading the church in worship, Sarah encountered a season of life where she says she took it all for granted. "I became jaded and realized that my identity was music and everything revolved around me. It's crazy how quickly pride can sneak in even when the thing you do every night is connect people to the heart of God. I specifically remember praying a prayer when God called me to this when I was 15 years old, "If this ever becomes about me, take it all away". Be careful what you pray for! It became about me and when it did, doors started to close. When that happened, I stepped back and lived some real life for a while and God graciously humbled me. I realized that living real life means exactly what Jesus says in Matthew 6:33. He tells His disciples, "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you." That's where life is found...the abundant life that God promises. In the process of stripping everything away and gutting out the pride in my life, God was able to begin shaping my character and my integrity. He placed the things inside of me that needed to be there to prepare me for this new season of life where He's giving it all back and allowing me to lead His church in worship again."
Leading people into the life-changing presence of God and the peace that comes from placing Him above all else in life is what drives Sarah to sing. She says, "My mission is to walk in the fullness of who God has created me to be in order to do what He's called me to do. That calling is to lead people into worship through music. Isaiah. 61:1 says, "The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor, he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound." That has become the ultimate Scripture of my ministry. I pray that when people listen to my songs, they will find healing, freedom and hope. They will understand how powerful and life changing it is when they magnify God above everything else."
It is clear to see after a quick glance at her YouTube channel that Sarah Reeves is operating in her calling to lead people in worship and is exactly where she needs to be. Since re-launching her channel in mid-2013, Sarah has garnered nearly 1,000,000 views on her worship videos and has grown her subscriber base to just shy of 10,000 users. Encouraging words and consistent remarks on her stunning vocals fill the comment threads on each video that she posts. The resounding consensus across the channel is exactly the conclusion Sarah aims to lead people to each and every time she sings whether online or in person. As YouTube user alessandroalvesjr93 declares at the end of her latest video, "JESUS BE LIFTED HIGH."

Hi Sarah :) I just wanted to tell you that your song Sweet Sweet Sound is probably one of the sweetest songs to the Lord that I've ever heard. He has truly blessed you with a voice and talent musically. I absolutely love your music, just found your album last night in my local Christian Bookstore. I finally had some money to buy it, and I was so excited! :) Anyway, I hope that you are doing well, and just know that you are such a blessing! Take care and God Bless!!

I just got Sweet, Sweet Sound and I have to say...it is amazing! The lyrics inspire me, and your voice is incredible. I'm going to try to convince the others on our worship band to play some of these songs. :)
