For lovers of extreme music, here's a band from South California who have already proven they have the right rock credentials by playing on the local scene for the past three years. Gigging at venues like The Roxy, The Whisky and The Glasshouse, East West are a powerhouse of intense hard music who have taken their ministry beyond the walls of the church into the heart of a hurting world that desperately needs to hear their message. The Light in Guinevere's Garden is packed with original and emotionally inspired music. East West are alternative, progressive, hard-driving and melodic. The band have been compared to Rage Against the Machine, Limp Bizkit, Tool and the Gin Blossoms. If you already love Song X - the band's slab of Gen X angst that was featured on the Extreme Days film soundtrack - then you're going to be completely rocked by the eleven songs captured here.
Nothing has been heard from the band since a statement in HM magazine in 2003 when Mike Tubbs said the following.
"We have been writing and taking time off to enjoy the more important things in life, our families. We really spent the three years traveling the world and the States and now it's time to focus on home. So, we are going to work on writing new songs, re-connecting with our fans and, like I said, our families."
