Eternal Mystery is a grindcore/death metal band from Louisiana.

Formed in 2005, Eternal Mystery was originally conceived as a black/doom metal band, but re-formed its style in 2006 as grindcore. Since then, the band's style has remained consistent, although with recent releases, thrash/death metal influence has been incorporated.

The band was formed by Broc Toney, and was originally conceived as a trio that consisted of Toney, Kyle Gill and Brandon Magee. However, Toney was the sole member of Eternal Mystery for much of its existence, handling guitars, drum programming and vocals as a one man band. Recently, Mike Barber and Josh Cook joined the band, so it is now back to a 3-man line-up. In addition, a live bassist name Shane Carter joined the group in April, 2010.

Eternal Mystery currently has three full lengths to its namesake, as well as two EPs and several split albums.

The band's politically active lyrics are blunt, to the point, and often violent. The subject matter is mostly attacks on hypocrisy in the church, condemnation of televangelists, criticism of legalism, violence against evil, the message of the Gospel and Jesus, and calls to conversion.

Toney also runs the grindcore label Sewersound Records with Felipe Diaz.
