Kirk-Duggan is an ordained elder in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. She earned the Bachelor of Arts in Voice & Piano, University of Southwestern Louisiana; Master of Music in Voice, University of Texas at Austin; Master of Divinity, Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary, Austin, Texas; and the Doctor of Philosophy in Religion, with special emphasis in Theology and Ethics, Baylor University, Waco, Texas. She resides in Raleigh with her husband Mike.
