An Echo in the Darkness follows Marcus and Julia on their seperate searches for the meaning of life as Haddeseh is in disguise and living with a physician. This book is even better than its predecessor as it continues the amazing story. While the conclusion is not especially new, Rivers does a masterful job at proving that it doesn't always have to be different. I can't really think of anything wrong with this novel. 4.7 stars
