I'm rooting for the Cubs who are 3 1/2 games behind the Brewers.
who do you hope wins it all at this point and who do you think will? |

| I am a die hard Philadelphia sports fan, so I hope the Phillies can pick up the pace during the 2nd half. We should be getting some of our pitchers back from the DL so hopefully the team can pull it together. I must say though that the Cubbies are my 2nd favorite baseball team. I'm not sure what it is about Chicago teams, but I like them...I root for the Bears too (only behind the Eagles of course) during the football season. I guess it's because Chicago is the only other city that knows what it is like to go a millions years without a title. I'm off to go watch the Phillies game right now. God Bless! |

Philles have had it hard. they were the top pick, but injuries and the 10,000 (which really doesn't mean anything). but I would not mind them winning(if the Cubs don't)
but I don't understand why everyone brings up the long period of losing... aaggg.
oh well GO CUBBIES! ... and go Phils. |

Phillies fan here- yes, we seriously need some better pitching. I'd love to see Myers return to the starting rotation, simply because we don't enough solid starters without him (but I have been pleasantly surprised by Kendrick)
Nathan- your Cubs look pretty impressive lately- I think they could have a legitimate shot.
To the extent that I follow the AL, I've always been partial to the A's (plus, that's my son's little league team ) |

| Kendrick has been impressive. However, I wonder how well he will pitch without so much run support when the pressure is a little greater. I don't really know what the solution is to the pitching problem. Getting Myers back will definitely be good, but I still have a hard time being very optimistic. I've had my heart broken too many times...yet I still stick with them. |

But heartbreak is what being a Philadelphia sports fan is all about! No major championship since the NBA title in 1983. Since then, all four of our major sports teams have lost a total of seven championship game/series.
Seriously, I don't share your optimism for the Phillies this year, either. The run support will be there with our current lineup, but you're correct that we can't expect Kendrick to be this consistent forever. Plus, a couple of starters get so hopelessly behind that even the Philly's offense- the best in the league- can't keep them in the game. |

| well at least the phillies are better than the Yanks. thats a feat. it's about time that they fell from thier high horse. A-rods doing his job... can't say the same about the rest of the team. |

| although the giants will not be going to the playoffs, bonds hit his 756 homer... that will bring crowds |

| Not really...the anticipation of 756 brought crowds, but now that he's done it, Bonds and the Giants will stop getting so much attention. |

| White Sox fan here!!! Rough season, we've had lots of injuries and not such a great bullpen. |

| White sox stink right not lets be honest. they need to look to next year. Joch fields will hit well, but when Joe Crede comes back he will havt o learn to play left. Keneko, Dye, and Thome are not hitting well and they need to work on their bull pen. the atrting pitching will be better next year I think. |

| Dye is having a solid year. He doesn't have MVP type numbers like last year, I think that was a fluke. Still hitting well though. |
