| Well I am actually using it now. It's still in beta, but it is actually pretty good. It's very lightweight and loads pages quickly. It does lack advanced options that Firefox and other browsers have, but it does import your favorites and other data from Firefox. |

just some warnings,
evidently google puts some small print in the agreement to actually download the browser, so google basically gives itself the right to use anything you type while on chrome... something like that, i havent read it myself.
there is no ad-blocker on it b/c its in beta, so expect alllllot of random popups on the common sites.
no 'features' like flash and some other things common browsers have, like addons.. b/c its in beta.
evidentally you cant scroll up when using a touchpad... but you can scroll down!
all in all i think its a great concept. if you read the comic that introduced it they have put some really great ideas into this thing, the real test for it will be to see if it scales with the evolution of the internet...
but i would suggest using safari for now, untill some of the issues are worked out and they allow different color schemes... ive heard that safari can be just as fast. |

| I had thought of trying it. Does it take up a lot of room, or not? |

im not sure what you mean by room... but the way the browser operates, it is processor heavy... meaning it will use alot of processing power when you first start it up (each process is given its own tab and works independently). but that number shouldnt increase significantly as time goes on (unlike the other common browsers)
chrome is googles alternative to IE8 so it assumes the user will have dual core processors (or a good CPU in general) and RAM to burn, and that the user is going to do things that are web instensive, like stream multiple videos or something to that effect... but i dont think the application is large, if thats what your asking. |

| Thanx ZZ, what I meant was how much space of your computer does it take. Cuz you have to download it so I'm assuming it takes up room...no? |

oh, yea.... it will not take up alot of room...
browsers are more like interfaces and filters that let you download stuff that takes up alot of room... ROM... sorry i just cant resist being technical... |

Opera is their own company.
Google's browser is Chrome. They have an Alpha release for Mac developers, which works pretty well, and I use it occasionally when Safari can't load a page. Flash now works in Chrome, btw. |

| I ran it when I had a PC. It's big advantage is how FAST it is. If you just want a basic browser that gets you to the pages you want and don't mind it not being very customizable, this works pretty well from my experience. (Plus, anything is better than IE.) |
