| that's what I was saying on a different skillet thread...I counted at least five threads all very similar...either about skillet/new album/comatose album...only really need one or two threads if they are all going to be similar topics. |

I know you guys will absolutely love Skillet's new album, Awake! I had gotten a chance to listen through to the album, and it's great. I know the band can't wait for the fans to hear it too. New drummer Jen Ledger does quite alot of singing on the record too. You can especially hear her on the new single "Hero". I added the track listing to their album review page on NRT, so if y'all were wondering what tracks are on the album, you can check that out.
Just a heads up... We'll be doing a promotion at the end of August with Skillet... and another cool band. Keep your eyes on ChristianMusicReview.org for more info!

IDK, it literally releases next month. I thought some reviewers had already seen the final copy. I am shocked that they are recorded one this late. I am not sure it'll make it. It might end up being a B-side like Live Free was. But I do hope it makes it. I like getting as much as I can for my money and I don't like Deluxe Editions released later. It kind of feels like a way to unfairly double dip to me. |

Not a fan of deluxe editions either so I hope it makes the cut.
I don't mind if the deluxe comes out the same time as the original release. Then the consumer can figure out if they want the original or extra features. Aka RED did this on their latest project and I thought it worked well. As a fan I would rather get the bonus songs and video.
Hate how (about a year) bands re-release their cd's and add extra songs and videos.
1) Not going to wait a full year for it to come out (plus you don't always know if they will have a deluxe edition)
2)why would I want to re-buy a cd for 2 or 3 bonus songs
3) usually the bonus songs are nothing that grand.
4)usually I end up going to ITunes to download the extra song or two. (like to support local stores/christain stores when possible)
It's just how publishers will try to squeeze every penny out of the project. The first cd starts to lose a little buzz so they decide to release the deleuxe edition to get more hype/money going. |

Yeah, Anberlin did the same thing with Cities when it came out. Of course I bought it over a year later but still. I don't mind them released at the same time but releasing them later just feels a rip to me.
But anyway, I want this song on the album with everything else. It better be there. |
