To worship with spirit and truth

Jesus said that a time was coming when all who worship will worship in spirit and truth. For they are the worshipers God seeks. John 4:23

A question came to me. What excactly does it mean to worship in spirit and truth? any thought?

Perhaps this is referring to us now being under the covenant of Grace and not law. That now we can worship God in spirit and truth under His covenant of Grace. Because of course Jesus is the way, the TRUTH, and the life. And He's sent His Spirit to be with us. Perhaps that's helped a bit.

Wow. This sunday's sermon was focused around this verse.

I think he is referring to the time when we will truly worship. What is worship? Worship is when our whole being is focused solely on him. God looks for those that don't take pleasure out of worshiping, but rather have the pleasure of worshiping him in spirit and truth.
