""It's not that Christianity has been tried and found wanting; it's just that Christianity has never really been tried"
I can't remember who said this, but it was a response to someone who believed that Christianity was impossible."

About Me I am married to the perfect wife for me, and have the world's most beautiful, intelligent, ornery, and rambunctious four year old daughter. I am the pastor of a wonderful American Baptist Church in South Plainfield, New Jersey. We have the world's most awesome small youth group: my ten youth raised over $6000 for World Vision's 30 Hour Famine this February. They won a challenge and got to give me a buzz cut during worship the next Sunday. I love traveling to Chile to visit Pastor Vicky and the churches of the Mision Chilena, and to Brasil to visit our own ABC missionaries, Bruce and Ann Borquist, and Celia and Ronald Carvalho of JAMI. I love languages, and speak fluent Spanish, and my Portuguese is getting better all the time. My favorite verses, which define my ministry about sharing God's unconditional love, come from Romans chapter 8: What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us? The One who did not withhold his own Son, but gave Jesus up for all of us, will he not with Christ also give us everything else? Who will bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Is it Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us? Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
