My kids will tell you, Barlow Girl is one of my all-time favorite bands. I listen to them with the words ringing through my body. Urgent, sensitive, on-target, worshipful, lyrical, with great guitar riffs, and my favorite kind of rock-n-roll.
My college days were spent listening to Petra, Sweet Comfort Band, then the Allies, so you can see my tastes run for rock worship. The Barlow Girls pick up and run with those sensibilities, and show their "girl power."
I first discovered Barlow Girl while reading a homeschool magazine. [I'm a homeschooling mom.] They were covered because they homeschooled, and continued that while on tour. Now, years have passed, and they are young women--sincerely calling out to this woman's heart to pursue God passionately.
