Heya, NRT! Remember how I told you guys I'd try and blog more this year? Well, I'm trying now! I've decided that it would be a lot easier to write blogs on a whim whenever I feel like I've got a story to tell you instead of chronicling every single detail. Though I must admit every fiber of my being wants to gush about everything Star Wars right now, I've decided to show you all something super-special!
You guys know that I'm on DisneyCreate, right? It's an art community based entirely with digital art apps that's safe and fun.I've been on pretty much since I joined NRT. Give or take a couple of days. I go by the D-Name CARSGirl (why my usernames on both these sites has something to do with Cars is a longgg story...)
Now, it might surprise you that people can draw stuff there that's not Disney-related, but what if I told you some of the faces we know best from this website are drawn there?? Saywhut now? Let me show you...

So, totally cool, right? It makes me smile so much to know that these artists, many of them friends of mine, enjoy these singers! And this doesn't count the number of artists who have said how much they love Skillet, or Royal Tailor, Mandisa, or any of these artists I've just mentioned! It makes me smile not just because we can share these interests in common, but because these singers each have their own way of making sure God plays a part in their music whether they're mainly worship artists (like Colton Dixon) or if they're mainstream artists who are strong Christians and make sure that God is mentioned in a number of their songs (like Owl City). So I'd say there's a pretty fair chance that these fantastic young DC artists are Christians, too! It's nice to know that even if I never meet them in this life, I'll meet them in Heaven either way :) So please! Take some time and pray for these DC artists, that either they'll stay strong in their walk with God, or that if they aren't walking with God, that those lyrics will hit them where they need it most. It's an amazing thing, isn't it? They've inspired me to be more vocal about my Faith, even if all I do is tell someone how much I love tobyMac or whatever! And some of my DC friends are very vocal about their Faith; my friend DogLuvaGirl has even signed some of her sketches with "all the credit goes to Him"!

I chose the two artists whose songs I love 99% of the time, and the other 1% I still like, who I've also been listening to for some time, and who did the best albums of 2012.
