“Worry and Fear go Hand in Hand”

Is the media scaring you with news about Japan’s Tsunami to rush out to your nearest Home Depot and buy a nuclear/radiation suit?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfvMGeHtUMs There are so many things going on in our nation today to cause us worry, fear with the war in Libya, disaster in Japan, spring storm dumps snow in mountains, rain in LA , USDA funds research on crops and climate change. These are the beginning of birth pains. Matthew 24:6-8 says, you will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Verse 7, nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Do not fear! Luke 21:28, “when these things begin to take place. Stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” No one knows the day or hour and I am not a prophecy teacher. God tells us just to be ready because we do not know when he will return. Matthew 24:36, “No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” Jesus will return to get us like a thief in the night when everyone is asleep. We need to watch and pray because no man knows that day or hour. Luke 21:34 "Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap.

1 Thessalonians 5:2-4 (NIV) for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.

Today if your heart is filled with worry, fear and you need peace of mind call on a Savior who will be there for you morning, noon and night. His name is Jesus. He was God’s only begotten son who came to earth and died on a cross for you. He wants to have a personal relationship with you dear friend. He loves you and promises to be there for you no matter what is going on in your life. Maybe you are struggling financially and see no way out, have a sick loved one, or a deadly disease in your body. Did you know Jesus can heal you? Isaiah 53:5, but he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. He is the same God of the universe that walked this earth over 2000 years ago. What he did back then he will do today if you will only believe!

Love & Prayers,

Dawn O’brien

Servant of the Lord

Remember cast all your cares upon the Lord dear one because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7, Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. God will be there for you today. Do not hesitate or wait for tomorrow may never come. Look at all the people that died/missing in Japan’s Tsunami over 20,000. My heart goes out to the families that have lost loved ones. They never got a second chance but you do.

Maybe you never asked Jesus to come into your heart to become your Lord and Savior. This is the most important prayer you will ever pray. Do it today, do not wait. Today is the day of salvation, now is the time of God’s favor. Commit your life to Jesus surrender your will and way.

Pray This Prayer Of Salvation And Mean It In Your Heart

Say, “Dear Jesus, I am a sinner, in need of a Savior. Come into my heart and save me. I want to be born-again. Forgive me of all my sins, wash me and cleanse me with your atoning blood. I receive you now. Amen”

If you said that prayer and meant it with all your heart then you are on your way to heaven and will be ready for whatever comes your way. That is the most important prayer you will ever pray. I want you to know God loves you very much and he has a great plan in store for you! Walk with him daily, Read God’s word and fellowship with other believers in the Lord and find a church that preaches the whole word of God.

Psalm 27

Psalm 27

Of David.
1The LORD is my light and my salvation—
whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—
of whom shall I be afraid?
2When evil men advance against me
to devour my flesh,a
when my enemies and my foes attack me,
they will stumble and fall.
3Though an army besiege me,
my heart will not fear;
though war break out against me,
even then will I be confident.
4One thing I ask of the LORD,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.
5For in the day of trouble
he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle
and set me high upon a rock.
6Then my head will be exalted
above the enemies who surround me;
at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make music to the LORD.
7Hear my voice when I call, O LORD;
be merciful to me and answer me.
8My heart says of you, “Seek hisb face!”
Your face, LORD, I will seek.
9Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
O God my Savior.
10Though my father and mother forsake me,
the LORD will receive me.
11Teach me your way, O LORD;
lead me in a straight path
because of my oppressors.
12Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes,
for false witnesses rise up against me,
breathing out violence.
13I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of the LORD
in the land of the living.
14Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD

Kiss The Face Of God

Did God forget to say,
He loves you
In so many ways?
You are the apple of His eye
Never do you need to cry.
He holds every tear.
and we don’t need to fear.
Gods love and grace
Will see you through
Dear one you will make it too.
Kiss the face of God
With your worship from above.
He is the God of all creation,
God is love.
When he looks down at you,
He does not see your mistakes
And frailties, too.
All he sees is what
You will become.
A vessel for his glory
To flow through
And bring honor
To his dear son.

Prayer For The New Year

Prayer for the New Year

O God of new beginnings and wonderful surprises, thank you for the gift of a new year. May it be a time of grace for me, a time to grow in faith and love, a time to renew my commitment to following Your Son, Jesus. May it be a year of blessing for me, a time to cherish my family and friends, a time to renew my efforts at work, a time to embrace my faith more fully. Walk with me, please, in every day and every hour of this New Year, that the light of Christ might shine through me, in spite of my weaknesses and failings.
Give us the kindness to hear with compassion,
to offer support,
loving comfort, and care.
Give us the courage to do what is needed,
the wisdom to choose
what is right and fair.
Give us the vision to see what is possible.
Give us the faith
that will help pave the way
for a present that is hopeful,
a future that is peaceful—
Give us a heart to bring joy to each day.

Amen

Word in Due Season
January’s Quarterly Newsletter
“If You Could Ask For One Thing What Would It Be?”

If you could ask for one thing what would it be? Maybe for a new car, house, debt free, husband, wife, sick free, lose weight, etc. The list goes on and on. David in Psalm 27:4 prayed for only one thing, (NIV version) one thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. That is so beautiful David wanted more from God and no material things would satisfy him. He was so hungry for the Lord he said in Psalm 1-2, as the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? Read all of Psalm 42 in your spare time really all the Psalms they are my favorite. David had a heart after the Lord. He made a lot of mistakes but he loved the Lord. You and I are not perfect just forgiven. God never said when you got saved you would be perfect and not make any mistakes. We need to be open to receive His love, mercy, and learn how to forgive ourselves. One time I said to God and this is one of the most beautiful things he said to me. I want to share it with you because it is for all of us. I said, “Lord why do you put up with me because I make so many mistakes?” You know what he said to me and God spoke it so gentle and beautiful to my spirit. He said, “because you have a heart after me.” Isn’t that awesome! David loved the Lord and had a heart after God. That is what the Lord wants from us. This was the greatest commandment Jesus gave us, to love the Lord with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, Luke 10:27.But what do us do? We as humans get so distracted with worldly things we do not make time for God. We put other things before him. Remember the story about Martha and Mary, Luke 10:38-42. It talks about Martha being so busy and distracted doing all the work herself wanting Mary to help her. But Jesus told her only one thing was needed and Mary has chosen what was better. Go read the whole scripture so that you will be trained up in the word of God. The bible says that my people die for lack of knowledge, Hosea 4:6. The year 2011 is here and many I know get very

depressed after the holidays because their hope and trust is not in a higher power. They feel they have nothing to look forward to but I am here to tell you the best is yet to come! I say that to you dear saints and to un-believers. God is about to pour out his spirit on all flesh. He says in, 1 Corinthians 2:9, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him"—Also in Isaiah 43:19, See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. Maybe you are saying I have heard all of that before nothing good happens in my life. Well friend, I am here to tell you I have been waiting on the Lord since I was 20 years old and I am almost 40 years old. Remember Joseph and how many years he waited? Something like 15 years and Abraham waited to have a child at the age of 100! God takes his time with those he plans on using in a great way. Be encouraged, the greater the trials you go through the greater the glory of the Lord in your life for others to witness. Romans 8:18, consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. 2 Peter 3:8-9, But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. Keep waiting my friend and trusting in the Lord he is a faithful God never early or late but right on time!

Maybe you never asked Jesus to come into your heart to become your Lord and
Savior.

I want you to know God loves you very much and he has
a great plan in store for you. Walk with him daily, read God’s word, fellowship with other believers and find a church that preaches the whole word of God.

I want to end with this. We serve a great God and 2011 here we come the best is yet to come. If you do not know the Lord he will come and be your best friend, mother father or sister or brother. We as humans are all seeking something. This world has nothing to offer but heartache and pain. God will come and feel your lonely heart with his love, mercy, grace and give you peace and joy in a world full of sadness. Do it today and do not wait. Pray that simple prayer above and make Jesus the Lord of your life! God bless you.
