Something More Like You Category: Poetry Views: 221 I gave my heart away One sad and lonely day And that was all I had to do Gone was my will to fight Replaced by life and light A choice to follow after You   The more I look inside Difference can’t be denied   Chorus: ‘Cause You change what You save You don’t leave me this way Who I’ll be at the end Looks something more like You And You fix what You break My heart for Your kingdom’s sake I rejoice that I’m made Into something more like You   I felt a huge weight lift Like I’d been given a gift And then the yoke came down The one You said I’d bear I know if You weren’t there My faith would surely drown   It’s true, You’re altering How I see everything   Chorus   If I had a photo of my soul They could do a before and after The change would be so dramatic I would alternate crying and laughter Each day I’m getting better   Chorus I am being made more like You
