Pet Peeve: poorly written NRT album reviews Category: NRTeam Views: 184
One of my pet peeves: people who write album reviews on here and put no thought into them. It’s most likely just to rack up points, but I wish people took album reviews seriously. People, if you haven’t heard the whole album, if you’ve only heard one or two singles, please don’t write a review.

I agree as well and that's why I really only read the reviews from people that write good ones. I mean, short reviews are great too but they have to really sum up the album perfectly to pull that off. Instead I see a lot of one-liners like THIS BAND ROCKS!! I LUV THEM!!! So far I only have 9 of mine up but I take a lot of time with them I actually have about 30 more done over at RYM so I'm slowly bringing them over and touching them up.

I agree, especially if they haven't heard the whole album. I take my reviews more seriously and I try to listen to the album all the way through while writing the review.

I agree... that's why I haven't posted that many. Haha
I don't have the time to devote to writing good reviews all the time.

I hear what you're saying clearspoken. I do think there is room for the quick thought on an album, but I agree with the point that someone shouldn't review an album in whole unless stating they have only heard a song or two. You keep writing those amazing reviews. One of these days, I'm going to include a way for me to highlight those on the NRTeam that do an incredible job with their reviews. Probably coming in the Summer.
