Category: Poetry Views: 166 Look up, look down, and look around If You can see my soul It hurts beneath the stone and rutted pathways on the ground Where have I gone, has my spirit been sold A lot of dark and covered wounds Upon my rugged hands Have hidden from Your eyes, time will reveal these secrets soon What have I done, these lesions will not heal My heart is bleeding in anguish for what I have not done Leaping inside me is what I know of joy These actions taken have carried me nowhere And I am asking why I hear Your voice, I know You’re with me Though I have walked blindly too many years alone, we Can meet sometime today, help me I’m asking why, You know the answer I was too weak to face up to my fears when I left You With You, I shall claim victory What have I done, these eyes can hardly see My heart has been stoned for blindness and what I have not done Screaming inside me, You call upon my name These dead end roads lead me nowhere And I’m asking why God I know just why You are the answer All of my fears and my blindness will vanish when You heal My wounds, make it so I can see
