Verses on Love Category: Poetry Views: 69 So I don't write poetry much, but I was inspired a bit before bed tonight. These probably aren't very good since I wrote them at almost 1am :P. I love the first one. The second I was a little iffy on, and then the third is just a couplet I couldn't find a spot for in either poems, but I couldn't throw away. Hope you like these both! They're pretty simple, but I worked hard on them nevertheless. Let me know if you see anything you find un-Biblical or that confuses you. That is the last thing I want to do with these... In Christ, Jorden -------------------- Chimes, Symbols, Smoldering Ash These, your works, will be as trash. Angelic voices, Body dead, Money given, Bible read None of these will give you life Only lead to pain and strife. One thing, I know, will last above, This thing, my friend, is faithful Love. ----------------------------------- Love for God and Love for Man, This is truly the best command. Act quickly for it is not too late, Choose to Love and not to hate. For there's no middle ground you see. But this world would like you to believe. That you can just turn away, Keep to yourself, they'll be okay. But this is a truth I know in part, God will always judge your heart, Love not yourself and turn your love To those around you and to God above. It's been long, I know you say, But bow your head and graciously pray, Ask for strength to choose today, To live for Love and not for Hate. Silver, Gold, and precious stones, The worlds enticements will not hold. Throw off your shackles and live today, And you, my friend, will find your way. -------------------------- For power and wealth will bring you naught, Faithful Love is all you've got.
