Road Signs: Do They Really Mean....That?!?!?? Category: Misc Thoughts Views: 78
On my recent camping trip I begin to notice how road signs sometimes don’t explain themselves that well. Well, we know what the signs mean, if you just start to think about what they say they could have a different (and almost idiotic) meaning. Here’s just a sampling of my thoughts on road signs like these.
Children Slow: (Possibly meaning)- In an area where adults will be the only ones driving, why should the children be going slow?
(Another possible meaning)- If children are supposed to go slow, then why does it show a child running on the sign?
(Yet another possible meaning)- Maybe it means children are slow mentally. If that’s what it means then that Whatever-Its-Name-Is-Bank will be getting into more than enough trouble for sponsoring the sign.
Do Not Pass: (Possible meaning)- If this sign means what it implies, then why isn’t there a long line of cars lined up behind the sign?
(Another possible meaning)- It could also mean if you see a car coming toward you on the other side of the road, then maybe it means that you should stop and don’t pass them. But then of course they’re passing you, so in as sense you are passing them. =I
*sigh* Maybe whoever makes the signs needs to rethink the quotes put on them. Or maybe I’m just being picky. Oh well, whatever! Lol. Anybody agree with me on any of these thoughts? Or has anyone seen a sign that reads something that just doesn’t seem to click after you think about what it says? Comment it here!

Haha, It's kind of mean, but I've seen signs that say "Slow Children At Play" or "Slow Children" and I've thought the same kind of stuff that you wrote about! Hahaha...
