I hope everyone else had a better 4th than my family and I did. Actually, it wasn't that bad, more humorous. It will definitely be one we'll never forget. Here's why: in the middle of grilling up some BBQ chicken for dinner, the gas ran out. No biggie, right? Just pop it in the oven. Well...we had thunderstorms and the power went out so the chicken never got fully cooked. We ended up eating a dinner of baked potatoes and beans (which were already finished) by candlelight. There were also no fireworks because of all the storms. So that was our pathetic celebration on 07/04/07. Anyone else have any funny stories about holidays gone wrong?
