About a month ago I started reading the Bible from beginning to end. lol. I must admit the task did look kind of hard, but I’m doing it. =) Anyway, that’s not what this blog is about. (I do tend to get off topic…a lot! =D) Right now I’m in Exodus reading about God leading the children of Israel out of Egypt. God reveals so many things when you re-read different things in the Word. Things that didn’t take effect, do, and throw it into a different light. That’s what happened here. You know, the children of Israel were in captivity for years upon end. They were continuously crying out to God for freedom from their bonds. One night, after 430 years of being in Egypt, God used Moses to lead His people out of slavery to go to the Promised Land. You know, in a spiritual way we’re like the Israelites. Sometimes we’re held in captivity by our sins. Maybe we’re walking through a desert (like the Israelites did), but no matter what God will always lead us out. At other times we may be asking God to answer a prayer for someone else. It may seem to take forever. It may even take years for God to answer but if God promised to “never leave us or forsake us,” He is with us every step of the way. He is always holding out His hand, but the question is, will we reach up to His? Of course we may not understand, or may never understand, why God works the way He does sometimes, but He does have the entire view of our life, while we only have our tunnel vision to sometimes peek through. However, our relationship will grow stronger as we continue holding onto Him, despite what we’re going through, and even though we don’t know what the next step we should take is. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” ~Hebrews 13:8 He is the same! And since He was the same in leading the Israelites out of Egypt, He will definitely lead you out of where you are. You’re never EVER alone! I know this is something we hear often, but God laid it on my heart.
May God bless you as you continue seeking His face in this journey to heaven!

CFC - Very cool! What a great challenge for the rest of us to really dive back into the Word, even if it's a passage we really know. God will reveal new truths every time. I'm featuring this blog in this week's email. Here's 10 bonus points. Thanks!
