Almost better than it was live! | Posted November-05-2008
Okay, first of all, I was at BOTH of the concerts where they shot/recorded this CD/DVD and let me tell you this is an AMAZING thing they have come out with!!!! It's almost as good as having been at the show!!! One thing I like about the Newsboys is that they sound spectacular live and their voices don't sound fake or anything...and they have awesome songwriting talent and their songs are very catchy. In my opinion, this is like a collection of their greatest hits, but LIVE and AMAZINGER! (yes, I know "amazinger" isn't a word, but too bad). And it's really good. I love their testimony and it's really funny and I relive the show in my mind...great album <3

It is my favorite album by her... | Posted November-03-2008
However, despite the fact that I really enjoy this CD and I think it is her best, people who are big fans should know her style has changed a lot since Krystal Meyers and Dying For a Heart...she is now more into pop, and much much less rock. Her songs on the Make Some Noise CD are very bubbly and perky, and do not differ much from the same styles as Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, or Ashley Tisdale--except for the fact that it is from a Christian perspective. I relly enjoy this CD but I do miss a bit of the old Krystal and the guitar solos and rock music. Another thing to know is that most of her songs on here, much unlike her other albums, don't seem to have as many God-breathed lyrics and passions and fire for Jesus Christ...half of the songs I honestly can't tell whether she is singing to a boyfriend or to God. Tracks like "In Your Hands" and "SOS" are easy to tell, but if you're the kind of person who likes it clear and plain to be able to see that she is talking about salvation and Christ, then this is probably not for you. I mean, I like the CD, but the choice is really up to you. She has changed in the past few years, but her music is still clearly amazing...check it for yourself, though.

I got a ticket for Toby's concert! | Posted June-26-2008
Once again, I attended this amazing artist's show (I've seen him twice), and I was actually AT the concert where they recorded the CD and filmed the DVD. He is...let's just say that when you have old people who hate fun stuff jumping up and down to hip hop at his concerts, and they bring out trampolines and do flips and stuff, it just makes you on a high! Woo! I think something very interesting about Toby is that he's able to attract a very large audience of all different ages (sorta like the Newsboys) and I think everybody as an individual each takes something away from his music. I'm not usually much for the hip hop sound (except for some cases) but I think it's really cool that he can have this type of genre for the people that do, and that it's Christian (because, no offense, most rap stuff isn't!). I love to hear little kids singing "Gone" or "Made To Love" and it just makes me smile, and if he can do that...WOW! Alive & Transported is really good, not as adrenaline-rushing as the live show, but the recording are very much alike, I love the DVD part, and the tracks he chose for the show/CD are a really good. Every time I listen to this CD, I relive one of the greatest nights of my life....and I love it! I totally recommend it for TobyMac fans. My personal favorites off the record are definitely I'm For You, Gone, his rendition of Jesus Freak, Irene, No Ordinary Love, and Diverse City. Oops! Well, for now I gtg! Enjoy the review! Hope I helped!

IT'S AMAZING! | Posted June-26-2008
Okay, so I went to the Cross The Line Concert and pre-ordered the CD and it just came in the mail yesterday! Yay! I also got it autographed, and one for my best friend! It's an amazing CD, great songwriting, beats, and sound. I love jamming to it, and I recommend it for any Superchick fans. It's really a step up, and I love it! GO BUY THE CD!!!! Lol. My favorite songs are Hold, Alive, Hey Hey, So Beautiful, and Rock What You Got. 1 thing you should know about this CD is that all of the songs (except for breathe and crawl [carry me through]) are very upbeat, and they're just...idk, you hear these songs and they make you want to go out with them and change the world, or just break down with emotion and start crying. The writers for this disc were flippin' AMAZING. They put on a great show, and they have amazing music, and I will support them and promote them through whatever.
