Hmmmm... Not CHaotic Resolve | Posted February-19-2013
Plumb has been one of those artists that either hits in right on the head or misses completely - This album is somewhere in between the two- She's not the same artist she was on Chaotic Resolve before- seems like her focus has shifted but she still doesn't want to lose the edge- BUT wants to be more commericially accepted

I thought the opener (Invisible) lacked substance- and just tried to use strange/eerie chord progressions to get that edgy/dark vibe without really having any lyrical power.

Drifting was ok. Could have done without Dan H.

Beautiful is a pretty love song----you can tell that life has changed for Tiffany (marriage/kids)

One Drop- got on the Jason Mraz/Ingrid Michaelson (sounds a lot like Blood Brothers) band wagon- w/ ukelele and a breezy pop song

I Want You Here is a beautiful song. Again- you can tell that life has changed. but It's beautiful

Say Your Name is an ok pop/rock song - lyrically it's pretty much the same theme as all the songs on this album

Unlovable is a great message/song- it's challenging

Need You Now- I don't like this song- when I heard it- it's depressing and never really moves anywhere musically

Chocolate and Ice Cream- Again with the kind of breezy  piano pop that is (One Drop)- think a little Sara Bareallis thrown in.

I Don't Deserve You- same theme as drifting/Say your name/ Need you now/

Cage- I WISH there were more songs like this. THIS is the plumb that I'VE WAITED FOR.

At Arms Length- lyrically it's great- musically there are two many songs that are similar to it on the album that by the time you get to this song- you feel like you've already heard it.

Download: Cage/ At Arm's Lenght/ Unlovable.

THEY ARE BACK! | Posted August-15-2012
Sixpence None the Richer is one of those bands that you just feel sophisticated to listen to. I remember being 11 when Kiss Me was super popular and they were just too cool- I grew up with them and they are one of my favorite bands- I was stoked when this album was coming out- Like most Sixpence records- I split it into songs i like/songs I don't- and if there is more songs on the like side- i say it was successful

My Dear Machine (which was on the EP) is great with the horns
Safety Line is stunning.
Should Not be this Hard is such a fun song-
Radio
Give it back
I do - musically is just goodness
I loved the version of Sooner or Later that was on the Dear Machine EP. This version is more of the "band" version and leans more to a country persuasion so I liked the straight up pop version

The other songs are skippable.

Love IT!! | Posted August-15-2012

I've loved Classic Crime since Albatross and was waiting for them to get back to that kind of sound- and they accomplished that with Phoneix. The intro alone is beautiful with it's solo guitar intro and strings in the build up. NICE! There are alot of GOOD songs on here. It's not "dark" at all. It's a solid rock album.

It's Ok... | Posted August-15-2012
Remix albums are never really creative unless they take the song apart and REbuild them into something great- they didn't do that. They sped up vocals and put it over new beats which is fine but it is what it is: sped up vocals over new beats. Good Morning, which was already a fun song in the first place, amps up the fun. Stronger is annoying with too fast vocals, Shackles is pretty good.

Wait till it goes on sale for like 1.99 on amazon to buy it.

It's an Israel and New Breed record- nuff said | Posted August-15-2012
There comes a point when really talented people shouldn't rush an album to fill in time restraints placed on them by a label. I think that this album suffers from a lack of something to say and a creative medium so say it- so it realizes on the same tactics are previous albums- funky latin song, crazy intro, some medleys thrown in, dramatic slow song, etc.

Well... | Posted August-15-2012
When "Me Without You" came out, it got my attention when i heard it on the radio- so it kind of made me more interested in mr. Mac's new project- after listening to the album- I am back to my opinion that mediocre music is popular in CCM. The album has an awkward flow to it bouncing between fast hard hitting songs and mediocre medium tempo songs, the latter being the majority of what's on the album (Steal my Show, Forgiveness, Lose Myself, Family, Made For Me, Speak Life). Favorite song ft. Jamie Grace really is a mashup of melodies of two of her songs - You lead/Hold Me

Solomon was right- there's nothing new under the sun. Shame.

I love that Bethel just keeps cranking out more music. Everything that they do is just so GOOD! It's anointed worship- there is no denying that. They are such a talented group of people.  It's worth the money! Go get it1

Ok | Posted April-17-2012
Like most Deluge albums,
It doesn't get good until the latter half of the record.

Don't get me wrong Lift High is a great opener- but it's ridiculously good guitar intro kind of belies the song.
Swell is  just an obnoxious sonic mess- the repetition of the lyrics in the verses just kinda kill the song. It's like a cheesy camp theme song.
Coming on the Clouds again suffered from repetiton- and had a cool groove to it but there was just too much ridiculousness- the rapping? Seriously?

Simple offering was good- reminiscent of "Worshipping You"
All lovers of Jesus- was beautiful
He rose- this is what I'm talking about- fantastic song!  just a simple fantastic song
Healing is Here- again, stunning.

It's not their best- in the past- I've liked some of their faster songs- they just seem to be trying too hard to make "it" happen. They shine on the worshipful stuff.
