Awesome New Artist and Album? Well, Hello... | Posted February-29-2012
I love Christian music, and since late 2009, I've rapidly been expanding my horizons of the genre and its many sub-genres. There are a great many artists who just don't get noticed as much, and that's one of the great things about NRTradio. And one band has explosive potential and should be getting more attention than it is now. The band is We Are Leo. The album is Hello. And they are both INCREDIBLE.
I first heard their single Live for Love on NRTradio, and I found it to be one of the most upbeat and fun songs I'd ever heard! And thus, while looking around iTunes one day in August, shortly after the album was released, I decided to get a sample of their music. And you know waht? I WAS BLOWN AWAY! While I knew Live for Love was great, I had no idea just how great these guys are! For every song on the album, it was love at first minute-and-thirty-second-clip! Supernova Sunrise has an undeniably awesome sound and a singableness that is just so addictive, not to mention a fantastic new music video (hint hint, chex it outz!). Heartbeats is such an epic and beautiful song that I found myself singing it even though I didn't know the words beyond the chorus! Oxygen is so sweet, and Seventeen is so upbeat, and I'm With You is so touching, and Remember You is so cool... it is an extremely rare happening to find an album full of absolutely nothing but gold! I love upbeat, fun, singable songs with a message and HIGHLY recommend them! And one quite possibly my favorite on the album (though I'm notoriously known for having trouble picking "just one" favorite when it comes to stuff I love) is Colors. What an incredible testament to God! What incredible lyrics! And what an amazing way of making a powerful song upbeat enough that it doesn't lose my attention! I hope that We Are Leo's amazing success will continue throughout their careers and that their music will make its way to Christian radio throughout the country! An undisputed 5 STARS!

As irresistable and fun as dolphins themselves! | Posted May-30-2011

In this fantastic album, you will be completely submerged in absolute dance-able fun! From the first, delightfully sweet track Holiday to its funky finally Good Times, you'll never be able to stop grooving to its awesomely infectious tunes! Swimming With Dolphins has got barrelloads of talent in every single song on this album! I've never even heard anything of theirs prior to this, but it's no wonder they tour around with Owl City! It's pure gold from beginning to end... don't miss out on this collection if you love tunes with a snap and a beat you like to groove to! So go ahead and jump with Swimming with Dolphins... the water's great, and Watercolors is just as!

Back with my friend Katie! | Posted May-09-2010
I have been reading and enjoyed Robin Jones Gunn's books for a long time. Ever since I opened up the first book as a tween, I was hooked and been reading through the lives of Christy, Sierra, and Katie ever since. Finding the third book at the library was almost impossible, but I managed to find it this time! Whenever I read a wonderful Christy/Sierra/Katie book, I go on a journey of friendship, romance, and plenty of "God-things" as Katie would call it. The third was full of twists I didn't see coming and made for a very rewarding book. After all, I rarely shed a tear reading books, but well, Coming Attractions was different. Is this the last I'll see of her? I sure hope not. There are so many more stories to be told by Robin Jones Gunn's unforgettable characters!

Syncopated Style Smash! | Posted March-31-2010
I've never heard any of Charmaine's music before this album, and I must say, it's fantastic. I love the hip fun sound of her songs accompanied by her hypnotic, beautiful voice. This is a sure don't-miss album. I can't really pick favorites. If there's been one awesome album all month, this is it. Don't miss Charmaine!

Rockin' with the Pirates | Posted March-07-2010
If you loved the movie like me, you'll love the soundtrack. With a great score that gives you an explosive feeling of adventure and emotion, and a bunch of awesome songs, both silly and contemporary, you won't be disappointed with this great album. You've got tunes from Mandisa, tobyMac, Newsboys, and RelientK. After all, it was this album that introduced me to tobyMac's awesomeness with "What We Gonna Do". The song is very hip and will make you dance as the end credits roll. And Steve Taylor and the Newsboys collide to make the upbeat tune "Yo Ho Hero". And of course, it's full of crazy good silly songs like "Rock Monster". So I recommend this treasure chest of Veggietales gold all the way!

Bust-your-gut hilarity! | Posted January-24-2010
If I could say who writes among the funniest youth novels in the world, it would be Bill Myers. This particular book, out of all the Wally McDoogle books, is among my favorites! I can't get through one single book without snickering nonstop, or even guffawing out loud! You'll find this great misadventure of the kid who can't stop causing catatastrophes (OK, "catastrophe" is an understatement) to be a delight for both children and adults!

Fantastic! | Posted January-03-2010
I absolutely adore this album! I love oldies (even though my friends don't understand them) and I love Veggietales (All my friends love them), so this was perfect! My favorite track is probably "The Locomotion". This is a triumphant album for Veggietales.
