Finally, a complete rock album from someone!

TFK has outdone themselves with Welcome To The Masquerade.

Great Job Trevor and crew.

Each song flows from one to another seamlessly. No problem finding radio friendly or car stereo friendly tunes here. Crank it up!

Musically breaks new ground, but... | Posted September-23-2008
Watch the video to the title track which is all over the internet, and if your like me, you may feel a little tarnished afterwards.

Krystal is now 20 years old, and moving in different directions both musically, and as a young woman.

I was encouraged by the great connection music and production wise to what is comparable in the mainstream arena, but i was discouraged lyrically and visually by this project.

The bible talks about not giving anyone the appearance of anything or cause to stumble, and in watching the video for 'Make Some Noise', I was saddened because I knew biblicaly it was doing just that.

We are to be in the world, not of , and it indeed is a fine line to tread to sell music and encourage.

Be real, not like. We are to stand out as believers because of our 'anti-conformity'.
Hmmm, now that would be an interesting song wouldn't it? Did she forget that she sang and wrote it?

Let me just say... | Posted September-16-2008
This will sound unlike any Christian project you may have ever heard.

There were times as I listened, that I had to remind myself this was actually a Christian project, because of the incredible musicianship, production and lyrical content.

If you loved Stevie Ray Vaughan back in the day, then your going to love the guitar virtuosity on this by Lincoln. I got lost in track 3 'Give Him Praise'.

Enjoy it, and listen to our chat together coming up on the 23rd with Lincoln in our New Release Tuesday podcast!

Just finished my conversation... | Posted September-16-2008
with Duncan Phillips of Newsboys for our September 30th Podcast program.

It was a candid look inside the making of this, the 7th Live project from Newsboys, and inseide their lives and ministry, and also at what's coming in the future (new music?)

It's a solid project that will reaffirm for you that these guys are committed to what their doing day in and day out for Gods Glory.

In a Word... | Posted September-16-2008
Outstanding, Diverse, Eclectic, Different, Sonic Candy, Audio Art...

In a word, very, very needed in Christian music.

Thanks you Group 1 Crew, for making a relevant musical statement both lyrically and musically to todays culture in a lnaguage they can interpret.

Good Follow Up | Posted August-19-2008
This is a great follow up for Decemberadio to their debut.

It features 13 very diverse tracks, and quite a few that will more than likely find their way to different radio formats.

In listening, it seems they have added a lot more keys to this project, and it really adds a ton to their sound. There's still the same old southern style guitar action going on too.

This project is a must have for Decemberadio fans, and for any Christian music fan, and for fans of music in general.

Decemberadio's 'Satisfied' stands out from the crowd with it's sound, and with it's lyrics.

Check it out, it will leave you 'Satisfied', but wanting more.

Better Questions and Answers | Posted July-02-2007
A few weeks ago, a friend of mine excitedly told me about a new project from an artist who really gets it! When I say gets it, I mean biblical truth and theology. Well, he was right. After our conversation, I made some calls and e-mails, and got a hold of an advance copy of the new project on Ardent from Todd Agnew, 'Better Questions'.

First, let me say that this is not your typical Christian project. It is filled with angst and regret, longing and remorse, and most importantly, truth.

Todd tackles so many cliches and issues within the church, and Christian music industry on 'Better Questions', that it actually may be hard for many to listen to. My first reaction on listening to 'Better Questions' was, "How'd this get past the record label people?"

It is an honest and striaghtforward project, at many times raw both lyrically and musically, and is there a better 'growl' in Christian music than Todd Agnew's. I think not. We also get that Memphis sound from Todd and his players on this project too. Gotta love it.

I would recommend 'Better Questions' to you if you want to be challenged, seriously challenged, about how you are living your christian life.

Bill
