Seventh Day Slumber isn't sleeping on Finally Awake. After hearing Take Everything and The Anthem of Angels, I went for this album and was not disappointed. The album is about half hard rock and half softer, but still powerful ballads. "Last Regret", the record's heaviest track, balances clean and screamed vocals very well. "Awake", "Burning Bridges" are powerful rock anthems. "Always" is a moving ballad to Joseph's son encouraging him to trust in Christ, and "Undone" is a great worship song. These are the highlights for me, and it's refreshing to hear alt rock/ hard rock with such Christ-centered lyrics.
