From a small church in rural Kentucky to ministering before a million folks annually, The Crabb Family (pictured left) has enjoyed every step along the journey. On their new album, Blur The Lines, we’re blessed once again with amazing talent as they sing some of their favorite worship and Christian songs that have impacted them throughout the years. We listen to their versions of “Shout to the Lord” and Nicole C. Mullen’s popular anthems “My Redeemer” and “When I Call on Jesus.” You’re going to love the familiarity of the music with the originality of The Crabb Family’s signature vocals and orchestration.

Next up, we listen to Jonathan Martin’s debut solo release on Springhill Worship. We’re used to hearing Jonathan as a third of Southern Gospel’s The Martins, but his strong vocals certainly stand on their own with songs like “Do You Hear the Sound” “Back to the Beginning”. With One Voice is available this New Release Tuesday™.

Since this week is a little light on the new releases, we take a sneak peak into next week as we listen to four new tracks from the new album by Passion Band. Featuring the combined talents of Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Matt Redman and others. Recorded live earlier this live in Nashville, Everything Glorious continues to offer new worship from some of the best leaders in the industry. We preview the new songs on the album including “Glorious” by Chris Tomlin, “Everything Glorious” by David Crowder Band and “You Never Let Go” by Matt Redman.

Finally, we wrap things up with the guitar laden, power pop debut release from Red Umbrella’s Wishing for Boardwalk. We listen to “Straight Jacket” and “Storm Warning.” Watch for their new album to hits stores on April 4th.

New Christian Music PodCast For Mar 21

NRT Podcast For Tuesday, March 21, 2006
The amazing music just keeps pouring in as March Music Madness continues! This week, rock fans have something new to stomp to with releases from Kutless, Family Force 5, Jeremy Camp and we take a trip down memory lane with the new fully restored collection from gospel legends BeBe and CeCe Winans.

Click to listen to this week’s show on ANY computer (no iPod needed):

We kick off the show with the new collection, Timeless, from BeBe and CeCe Winans. The three songs we listen to are “Heaven,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water” (one of my favorite covers of this Simon and Garfunkel classic) and “Celebrate New Life.” We’re all indebted to the Winans family for all they given to Gospel music and there’s still no comparison to this powerful collaboration of amazing vocals and songwriting.

This week, there’s certainly plenty to satisfy the rock fan, including the final album from Further Seems Forever and a re-release of Norma Jean’s Oh God, The Aftermath. But we kick off the big rock show with the biggest release of the week from Portland, Oregon’s Kutless and their fourth studio album, Hearts of the Innocent, featuring the killer first single, “Shut Me Out.” We also listen to “Smile,” “Beyond The Surface” and “Promise of a Lifetime.”

Next up, we preview the new Restored: Deluxe Gold Edition by Jeremy Camp that features four new songs including “Stand By,” the Vineyard worship classic, “Hungry” and “Burden Me.”

Each New Release Tuesday, we get an opportunity to share new releases with everyone. But every now and then, there’s a project we get in advance that’s so hot, it burns holes in our pockets until we’re able to share it with everyone on street date. Up next is a project that’s done just that. Gotee Records presents Family Force 5 that is gearing up to take the Christian music world by storm. You better check your radar because we’ve got a severe music watch with their debut, Business Up Front, Party In The Back. Take a listen and get energized with the unique sound of the “Kountry Gentleman,” “XGirlfriend” and “Replace Me.” This is one debut you don’t want to skip over.

Finally this week, we end on another great note musically with the debut hip-hop release, Fountain Of Life, from Japhia Life on Beatmart Records. Jam to “All I Know,” “Joanna” and the infectious “Love: House Remix.” All fans of great music and challenging lyrics will love this album!
