New Christian Music PodCast For May 16

NRT Podcast For Tuesday, May 16, 2006
This week’s PodCast could be one of the best we’ve had all year as brothers Tim and Jon from Starfield join us in the studio to talk about their sophomore release on Sparrow Records, Beauty in the Broken. This is one release you don’t want to pass up. Jon Neufeld from the band sums up the new record by saying “It really is a worship record about the highs and lows of knowing God while being dedicated to that relationship in fear and trembeling.” Between some great conversation with the guys discussing the project, we listen to the title track, “Everything Is Beautiful” and the amazing anthem, “Son Of God” (featuring Chris Tomlin). We also listen to the first single, “My Generation” and “The Hand That Holds The World.”

If that weren’t enough, we also feature new music from Flicker Records’ EleventySeven, Tooth & Nail’s Run Kid Run, worship leader Brenton Brown and we rewind to last week’s release from The Elms, The Chess Hotel.

New Christian Music PodCast For May 9

NRT Podcast For Tuesday, May 9, 2006
This week, our friends at Word Records are rolling out their best for us with three new Best Of projects from some of their all time best, including this week’s special guest Rachel Lampa. We’re also blessed with the Best Of Jaci Velasquez and Nicole C. Mullen.

We kick off this week’s PodCast with the debut release from Hyperstatic Union, Lifegiver. We listen to “Overhead” and their current single “Praying For Sunny Days.” HSU was discovered by Third Day and produced by Mac Powell who says that lead singer Shawn Lewis is “hands down, the most talented guy I know.” We also end the show with new music from The Longing.

Last month at GMA Music Week in Nashville, we sat down with Rachel Lampa who spoke to us about where she’s been hiding out and what’s right around the corner. Listen to the full interview along with cuts from her incredible musical career.

New Christian Music PodCast For May 2

NRT Podcast For Tuesday, May 2, 2006
One of the most anticipated releases of the year hits shelves today as Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys drops his debut solo release on Reunion Records, and we’ve got an exclusive preview of the album along with a great audio interview with Brian. Make no mistake, Brian has released a straight up CCM record and is prepared to back it up by standing firm in his faith while continuing to be a part of Backstreet Boys. It’s wonderful to see an artist of his caliber begin to talk about God, faith and purity and we wish him nothing but the best in the coming months.

Brian talks to us about why this is his most important album of his career, what he was doing before Backstreet Boys and where he plans to take his new music in the near future. We listen to “In Christ Alone,” “My Answer Is You,” “Wish,”“Welcome Home (You)” and “I’m Alive.” We also listen to new releases from Brian Doerkson, Dalton, KJ-52 and Mars Ill.
