NRT Podcast For Tuesday, August 8, 2006
Welcome to another exclusive New Release Tuesday update filled with great new music from Ginny Owens (pictured left), Kids in the Way, Vickie Winans and a Best Of project from Sixpence None the Richer. But first, we preview the beautiful new album from the award winning group, Selah, Bless The Broken Road: The Duets Album. This CD features duets from some of the top artists in Christian music today including BarlowGirl, Nicole Nordeman, Jason Crabb from the Crabb Family and the legendary Kim Hill.
Next up, we remember Sixpence None the Richer on the eve of Leigh Nash’s upcoming solo project. “Kiss Me,” “Dream It’s Over” and ”Breathe Your Name” remind us of why Sixpence became an international success in a few short months. Also releasing a Best Of project is Ginny Owens with a few new songs to tide us over until her new project releases next year. We preview those new songs, “Wonderful Wonder” and “Open Arms.”
Kids in the Way release The Dead Letters Edition of their sophomore album, Apparations Of Melody and include a few new songs along with a DVD. It’s definitely worth checking out as we preview the latest single, “Fiction.”
Finally, if you’re a fan of gospel music, you could say we left the best for last as we preview the smooth new release from Vickie Winans, Woman To Woman: Songs Of Life.

This is a very special New Release Tuesday update as we say farewell to two groups that have left an amazing mark on Christian Music. We first salute Mark, Will, Bob, Ben and Tyler of Audio Adrenaline by simply saying thank you and well done good and faithful servants. They leave behind a legacy of song and their final release, Adios: The Greatest Hits, is in stores today. We sample a number of their #1 hits as well as the two new songs on the record.
We also say goodbye to the ladies of Out Of Eden who are calling it quits after 13 years together as a group. We listen to a few of their top singles from their last four releases along with their new song available on Hits.
Finally, we wrap up this week by previewing some amazing new music from the new Best of the Submissions V3 collection. And if you’re looking for music from FM Static’s sophomore release, we previewed it earlier in our July 18th show.
